  • 2. Scope of Personal Information Use It is strictly prohibited that any personal information of SilverStar membership is used for other purposes but the above mentioned purpose.
  • 3. Prior Consent before Change If the collection purpose or use scope of personal information is changed due to the necessity of SilverStar, it is required to invite prior consent from every SilverStar members. Exceptionally, it may not be necessary to do so if such changes are due to changes of the applicable laws or policies of the government. Despite of it, important changes will be published through SilverStar Homepage in advance.

  • 3. Period of retention and use SilverStar is always open to members only as long as membership is valid at the time, and a member's personal information retained in SilverStar will be destroyed immediately after the member decides to terminate the service.
    Provision and Sharing of personal information
  • 1. No transfer of member's personal information before inviting prior consent In generally, it is prohibited to provide personal information of SilverStar Members to the 3rd party. To provide such personal information to the 3rd party in order to provide SilverStar member with service, it necessarily needs prior consent through the reasonable procedure.
  • 2. Exceptions However, if the necessity is recognized to provide members(customers) with basic service as follows, personal information can be delivered to the 3rd party without member's consent.
    • A) For a delivery service, a member(purchaser)'s essential delivery information(name, address and phone number) is required; and
    • B) Personal information is provided for statistics, academic research or market research without member'sidentification exposed.
    Reading Modification and Deletion of Personal Information
  • SilverStar opens a member's personal information retained in SilverStar whenever the member wishes to check one's own information and the essential personal information can be modified. Additional information as well as essential information items can be always read, modified and deleted. For the change and deletion of personal information or termination, a member should use 'Modify Information/Termination' menu.
    Internal Privacy Policy
  • 1. SilverStar limits the number of employees with the authority to access to your personal information as small as we can. The authorized personnel are as follow.
    • A) An employee who is directly marketing users
    • B) Managers and employees working on personal information such as Personal information administrator and the staff
    • C) An employee who inevitably needs personal information due to one's occupational duties
  • 2. SilverStar trains the above personnel about new security technology acquisition and private policy through in-house training program and external training organization.
  • 3. When the company employs a new employee, SilverStar prevents personal information from disclosing with an agreement of confidentiality from every employee and establishes internal procedure to audit implementation of private policy and personnel's observance.
  • 4. When taking over personal information work among personnel, the process is performed with security and any accident related to personal information before/after employment and retirement is clearly defined to the responsibility.
  • 5. Personal information and general service data are not mixed but separately maintained in the respect servers.
  • 6. Computing room and data archives are specially controlled and the access is strictly controlled by designating as a special protection zone.
  • 7. In no case, SilverStar is responsible for any matters attributable to a member's personal mistake or basic risk from Internet. To protect one's own personal information, one should appropriately administrate one's ID and password and be responsible for it.
  • 8. In addition, if any loss, disclose, alteration and damage of personal information attributable to our administrator's mistake or technical accident happen, SilverStar will notify you of the fact and take the appropriate measures and compensation.
